Euro Currency Futures Won 14 out of 16 Sessions

Euro Currency Futures (EC) have been trading great.  We won 14 out of the last 16 sessions.  We did stand down for a few sessions during the rollover week but even that traded well.  We’re pretty excited to see the euro currency futures trading as well as it did in 2009.  Soon I will be testing to see if we could improve our results with the new HVMM 2010.  More on that in a minute.

This week on EC, we called 13 trades and won 10 of them for + 53 net points.  Here are the trades:

3/15/10

  1. 8:47 long at 3716, stopped at 3704 = – 12
  2. 9:00 short at 3698, exit at 3697 = + 1
  3. 9:36 long at 3706, stopped at 3694 = – 12
  4. 9:45 short at 3694, hit Target at 3683 = + 11
  5. 10:01 short at 3679, exit at 3675 = + 4
  6. Net Result = – 8 points

3/16/10

  1. 9:06 long at 3732, hit target at 3745 = + 13

3/17/10

  1. 9:00 long at 3757, hit Target at 3767 = + 10
  2. 10:05 short at 3744, exit at 3736 = + 8
  3. Net Result = + 18

3/18/10

  1. 9:17 short at 3674, hit T at 3666 = + 8
  2. 9:47 short at 3657, stopped at 3667 = – 10
  3. 10:13 short at 3633, hit T at 3625 = + 8
  4. Net Result = + 6

3/19/10

  1. 8:54 short at 3538, hit T at 3527 = + 11
  2. 9:10 short at 3533, hit T at 3520 = + 13
  3. Net Result = + 13

While the year started off slow for us on the EC, we have begun to hit our stride, breaking out to all new equity highs.  Currently, we have chocked up + 177 points for $2,213 per position in 2010.

This week we also debuted the new HVMM 2010 with the Russell emini.  Anyone familiar with the Russell would attest to the fact that the Russell has been incredibly slow of late.  Still though, we had an excellent week.  Even with a tight range, one session being barely 3 points for most of it, we still were able to win 11 out of 15 trades for a weekly net total of + 9.3 points with our 2 position approach.  Friday began to show us what we have to look forward to as we had a perfect session, winning two of two for a nice +6.8 points, demonstrating why I am so excited about our ‘scalp and trail’ approach with the Russell.

The combination of taking high percentage fixed targets while also trying to hang in there for the big break out move, coupled with a tight, aggressive trade management style, will give us more ‘free trades’ than before.  In fact, trades that would have been losses, are now exiting with 1 tick, covering the cost of our commissions.  This has really helped.  I will be making this trade plan available to everyone attending the Netpicks HVMM 2010 Live Training this coming week.  Email me for more details at tjnoon@netpicks.com.

Once the range on the Russell begins to open up, I believe we’ll be hitting double digit gains with regularity.  So far, my testing since Feb 1st, has produced a 68.2% winning percentage with this exciting new strategy.  Here are the trades:

3/15/10

  1. 9:48 long at 673.1, exit both positions at 673.7 = + .1 = + .2; (this is an example of our tight trade management style that covered our cost instead of becoming a loss).
  2. 9:54 short at 672.3, hit T with one at 671.1; exited the other at 670.7 = + 2.3
  3. Net for the session = + 3 points

3/16/10

  1. 9:59 long at 671.8, reduced stop at 671.2 = – .6 on both = – 1.2
  2. 10:17 short at 670.7, stopped on both at 672.1 = – 1.4; sum  = – 2.8
  3. long at 672.6, hit T at 673.6 = + 1; Exited the 2nd at 673.9 = +1.3; sum = + 2.3
  4. Net = – 1.7

3/17/10

  1. 9:40 long at 681.2, exited at 682.3 & 681.9 = + 1.8
  2. 10:59 long at 681.7, exited at 681.9 & 681.8 = + .3
  3. Net = + 2.1

3/18/10 (2.5 pnt range for most of our session today)

  1. 10:06 short at 680.3, exit at 681.6 x 2 = – 2.6
  2. 10:19 long at 682.3, exit at 680.9 x 2 = – 2.8
  3. 10:57 long at 682.6, exit at 683.3 & 682.8 = + .9
  4. 11:12 long at 683.6, exit at 683.7 = + .2
  5. 11:33 short at 682.3, exit at 681.7 & 681.1 = + 1.8
  6. 11:50 short at 680.3, exit at 679.4 & 679.6 = + 1.5
  7. Net = – .9

3/19/10

  1. 9:37 short at 679.2, exit at 677.7 and 677.2 = + 3.5

  3. Net = + 6.8

Weekly Net = + 9.3

Finally, I want to bring to everyone’s attention my newest trade plan with HVMM 2010, the British Pound Futures (BP) with a 144 tick chart.  The BP is an excellent market to trade.  (In fact, it was the British Pound Futures that hooked me on trading back in the early 90′s when I made a trade that led me to traveling, meeting my wife, and changing my life, but that’s a story that will have to wait for another time.  George Soros became a billionaire from that same trend actually.  I was luckier – I found my wife.. lol ..)  What’s more, the new HVMM 2010 is the perfect system to trade it with.  I will be unveiling this trade plan this coming week at the live training while also calling it live in the trade room.  We practiced it on Friday and went 2 for 2, netting +19 points.

Here is a sneak peak of what we have to look forward to, trading the BP.  Since Feb 1st, trading a very tight plan, these are the stats I’ve been able to run up so far:

  • 96 trades; 70 wins and 26 losses
  • 72.9% win percentage over the past 7 weeks
  • + 578 net points
  • Most sessions finished inside of 90 minutes with many ending in less than 60.
  • Netpicks’ Profit Factor = 6.82
  • 33 sessions; 30 winners and 3 losses
  • 1 contract; fixed target approach

Due to the results being so good on both the TF and BP with HVMM 2010, I’ll be looking to see if we could improve the EC as I said above.   What we’re currently doing with HVMM 1 is working well and we’re not going to change unless we have a compelling reason to do so.  But that’s next on my list as far as research goes.  Stay tuned.

Anyone who signs up for the HVMM 2010 Live Training this coming week will get an extra free month in the HVMM Owner’s Club valued at $177, a FREE month in our Live Trade Room, valued at $197  AND, a locked in super low ongoing monthly subscription fee of just $127 per month going forward.  Also, we’ll give you a free pass to another subsequent training in the future.  2 for the price of one!

Here is a chance to learn the HVMM 2010 from our resident genius System Developer, Mark Soberman, as well as Brian Short and myself.  We will not only teach you how to use the system, but we will also unveil unique trade plans, while also covering the other critical aspects to trading; money management, trade psychology, back testing, developing your own trade plan, etc.

If you are a new trader, or looking for a dynamic and effective trade system, or are just brand new at trading, you won’t want to miss this event.  For details on all of this, write me at tjnoon@netpicks.com.
